Karoline on the left and on the right is Vanessa, someone who I have been internet-friends with since 2008. So happy to have had the chance to meet her in person!

The last of my prenatals and preparing for Ruby

Highlight of the year: We welcome Ruby on November 14th at 4:16am

I was hospitalized two days after Ruby's birth with what they suspect was a bad infection though they never found the source. I can honestly say that I feel incredibly grateful to be alive because, although you can't tell from the photo, this is the sickest I've been in a long time. Although this was a rough patch and disappointing to have happen so soon after Ruby's amazing birth, it really served to show me what wonderful friends and family I am surrounded by out here

I still haven't had a chance to go through all of our photos from Christmas morning so that will probably be one of the first posts of 2013. Our family has had an absolutely amazing year. 2013 has a lot to live up to!

*Started his assignment as a Marine 1 crew chief in February
*Turned 25
*Celebrated three years of marriage
*Purchased a mini-van
*Went to Arizona for a difficult goodbye to his paternal grandfather
*Became a father of three
*Made a lot of progress on his project car
*Completed eight accelerated classes and is several steps closer to completing his degree

Sarah
*Turned 25
*Celebrated three years of marriage
*Had her second homebirth and became a mother of three
*Was hospitalized for 2.5 days for sepsis and lived to tell the tale!

*Danced in her first recital
*Completed two levels of swimming lessons

*Began tap and ballet classes and moved up to level II tap
