255 Days/14 weeks

We have had a wonderful Memorial Day so far! Jon returned home last night after spending 11 days in San Francisco for work. He enjoyed the trip (and being on the west coast), but he is definitely happy to be home and we are grateful to have him back!

Getting ready to go pick up daddy!

He's home! She was SO happy!

My husband went to San Francisco and all I got was this......wow!

Beautiful!

She was eager to show him his hat.

My original plan was to make a big Thanksgiving-type meal on the night that he came home, but there was too much uncertainty as to when they were going to get back and when they would be able to leave work. In the end, I decided to just wait and cook on Memorial Day. It ended up working out MUCH better this way and we had a fantastic lunch this afternoon.

I even got out the real dishes!

We hope everybody is having a safe and Happy Memorial Day!

254 Days/13w6d

Arianna is so excited about daddy coming home today (more on that later) that she wanted to get all dressed up. Dressing up for her includes having her finger and toe nails painted. I found some nail polish and fake Hello Kitty nails that her grandma sent a while back while I was cleaning up the house so I let her put them on.

She loved having "big girl" nails!

253 Day/13w5d

Arianna's grandma sent us a huge box of stuff from Arizona including the dress that Arianna wore for mine and Jon's wedding. She was excited to receive it and has been wearing it all day. I'm happy that it still fits!

My little flower girl

This afternoon we went up to Target to pick up a few things that I needed for the house. After we finished, I decided to stop into Michael's Arts & Crafts Store to see if I could find any fun decorations for Memorial Day. I ended up finding a few small things for the house as well as some cheap foam visors for Arianna and I to decorate.

Memorial Day loot!

Chain garland to hang in front of the back door

Hanging stars

Decorating visors

It took her five minutes of squeezing to get out this one little dot of paint. She was so proud, haha.

Her finished product! She did everything herself except the name.

Hope everybody has a Happy Memorial Day!

252 Days/13w4d

Arianna got a package in the mail today from Jon's mom. She picked up a few things for Arianna while she was in NYC.
A pink stuffed monkey with a baby!

And a cupcake necklace!

She was in a silly mood today

We've been going out for a little while each day and I'm finding that it helps both of our moods so much. I think we both just start to go a little bit crazy when we're stuck in the house all day. It's good for us to have a change of scenery.

I FINALLY took a "belly picture" yesterday. I haven't taken any because I haven't really noticed much change, but everybody keeps insisting that I need to start taking them for comparison. The last picture I took was at 11 weeks because the baby was pressed right up against the right side of my stomach and you could really see it.

11 weeks

Taken yesterday at 13w4d

So there you have it. My 13 week "belly." It's kind of frustrating to see the abs that I worked so hard for replaced by a layer of pudge, but no cute little baby bump. Hopefully soon! I HAVE however, discovered the amazing comfort that is maternity jeans (as you can see in the picture). A friend of mine sent me three pairs and I decided to try one on yesterday to see how they felt. I never bought maternity jeans when I was pregnant with Arianna and boy did I miss out! I don't know what it is that makes these so much more comfortable than regular jeans, but I honestly don't know if I'll ever go back to regular jeans! These things are awesome!
