Ok, so Christmas was almost a month ago, I know. I get to celebrate again though because I just received my Christmas present from Jon on Saturday....the girls and I are in AZ! When Jon went home in November, I was really bummed that I wasn't able to go with him. It was just too close to Lucy's due date and even though I was 99% sure that I would probably not go into labor that early, you just never know. I was also 99% sure that I wouldn't give birth on Thanksgiving and we all know the 7lb 13oz end to that story! Anyway, since I wasn't able to go, Jon told me that he would send the girls and I home after Lucy was born and that would be my Christmas present. So here we are! It has been quite a hectic past couple of days!
We flew out Saturday morning and arrived around 12-1pm. My mom picked us up, we met my dad for lunch, and then went back to the house. The girls and I were so exhausted from all of the travel that we really weren't up to doing anything that first night, plus we had to be up for church early on Sunday.
We went to church with Jon's parents Sunday morning and then Lucy and I met them again at 1pm at Irving's parents' house for lunch. Arianna stayed behind with my parents because she was sleeping when it came time for us to leave and I wanted her to get her rest. It was a big day for Lucy and she met her paternal grandparents, great grandparents, two aunts, and an uncle all for the first time! She was so good! She smiled a lot and hardly fussed at all. I'm really glad that she got to meet so much of Jon's family.
Lucy with Jon's mom (I can't wait to see what Lucy calls her. Grandma? Gigi?)

Aunt Claire made Lucy that green and purple quilt!

We stayed at the house until about 7pm when Lucy finally started to get tired and ready to be put down for the night. It was so good to see everyone and we're going to go back again soon. Today was spent shopping with my mom and tomorrow we're just going to rest. I'm excited for everyone to meet and spend time with Lucy, but I also want to make sure she has enough down time so that she doesn't get too overwhelmed with all of the new faces and voices. So we'll regroup tomorrow and then head out again on Wednesday! I forgot how much I miss home and there is so much that I want to do while we're here!
