Monday- my mom and I took the girls to the mall and we went clothes shopping. Arianna got to ride the new-to-her train that circles around the inside of the mall. They brought it in right after we moved and this was her first time getting to ride it.
Arianna waiting to pay the conductor (and as I captioned this I was reminded of how she used to call money "tickets.")
Tuesday- I went and got my hair trimmed at my salon. I'm trying to grow it out, but it was so thick and uneven that I needed to straightened out a bit. plus I needed my bangs cut back into actual bangs. They had grown out so much that they just looked like another layer of hair. I'm satisfied with the cut, but can't wait until it grows back out. I'm ready to have long hair again for a little while and then eventually I will probably cut it all off again.
Wednesday- I took Lucy to meet Missy, Kate, Monique, and Deisy who are good friends of Jon and I. Unfortunately, Miss Lucy was being a cranky girl and wouldn't let me put her down long enough to take any pictures. We're going to see them all again on Sunday and try again. :(
Thursday- we spent all afternoon and evening with Jon's parents over at their house. Leslie came over to our house for pizza and then we drove up to their new house which is beautiful! The girls had a blast and it was good
Friday- the closest thing we've had to a relaxing day since we got here, haha. Other than a massage immediately followed by a chiropractic adjustment that I've needed since I was about 25 weeks pregnant, we just stayed home. When I got back from my appointments, our neighbor was here with her new grandson.
Saturday- Saturday was the best day I've had out here so far. I got to witness my first birth and my first homebirth that wasn't my own! One of my best friends had asked me months ago to try and make it out to Arizona for her birth and, thankfully, I was able to be here. I won't tell the entire birth story here (though with her permission, I may eventually post my version of it on my other blog after she's had a chance to put her version up), but just know that it was amazing and I'm very very happy for her. Welcome, Baby Luca!

Saturday afternoon, immediately after the birth, I attended a baby shower for my cousin's wife. They are expecting their second child, their first boy. I got to see some of my dad's side of the family and introduce everyone to Lucy!

Saturday evening (yes, Saturday was a FULL day), I drove up north to meet Jon's parents and their Bible study group. A few of the women in the group gave me a bridal shower before Jon and I got married and it's a wonderful group of people.
Sunday- I woke up disappointed to realize that I had completely slept through church. I was exhausted after all of Saturday's events that I slept like a rock and didn't wake up until about 10am. I had to force myself out of bed, get the three of us ready and head out to Cassie's daughter Hayden's 5th birthday party. The party was at Jump Street and Arianna had a lot of fun. I think she was still tired too because she was being really quiet, but toward the end she started having a good time with Hayden and another boy, Parker.

After the party, we headed back home for the evening. Originally, we were going to go over to Kate's house and spend some more time with friends, but the girls and I seem to have come down with a nasty head cold. I feel really bad because I wonder if maybe being out and about so much this week was too much on their immune systems. Arianna caught it first and then passed it to Lucy (because as hard as I tried, I just couldn't keep her out of Lucy's face 100% of the time). I feel the beginning of it and have a feeling that I'll be waking up to a full blown cold tomorrow. Please pray that we get over it quickly because I don't really want to take the girls out too much until we're all over this, but I would hate for us to be cooped up for the rest of our vacation.
