Well, my big 4th of July post isn't going to be as exciting as I hoped it would be. We had multiple changes of plans yesterday and it turns out that the festival that we planned on going to was actually yesterday so we missed it! Bummer :(
We did end up getting together with one of Jon's friends from work and his family though and had a nice time. We went out to their house, grilled some steaks, and watched their neighbors set off a few fireworks (so Arianna did get to see a small fireworks show). Arianna played with their almost-two year old son and she told us at the end of the night that she had a good time. I've got a few pictures from the house yesterday, but none of the fireworks. There were too many trees in the way to get any really good shots.

Saturday we took Arianna to the park. We had gone to this park once before for a birthday party and it's really nice. She's getting tired of the little playground in our complex so we headed over there to let her burn off some energy.
Everybody must have been busy getting ready for the 4th of July
because the park was COMPLETELY empty!
Since there were no other kids, Daddy was her playmate!

We didn't stay very long because we all got thirsty and nobody had thought to bring any water. Hopefully next time we go back there will be a few more kids for her to play with!
