25 weeks today!
For those who are interested, we are registered at Target and Buy Buy Baby.
I debated with myself for quite a while before deciding to make this post because I HATE the idea of people thinking that we are soliciting gifts for ourselves or our baby. That is definitely not our intention! We are blessed to be in a position that allows us to provide for our children without worry and while we ARE grateful for any and all gifts that we are given, we absolutely do not expect them! I am sharing the links to our registries here because several people have asked if we are registered anywhere or have asked what we need for Baby #2. I also want to explain a few things about our registries.
If you're wondering why we aren't registered for diapers or wipes (which is usually a very popular registry item), it's because we will be cloth diapering as well as using cloth wipes! I explained more about our decision in this entry. We already have all of the diapers that we'll need for when she's a newborn and most of what we'll need from infant to potty training. The only thing we don't have a lot of is wipes which is why we are registered for so many baby washcloths. Baby washcloths make great cloth wipes!
We also registered for a lot of blankets since our baby will be born in the late fall/early winter. Please don't feel obligated to get the exact blankets that we have on the registry, we just need blankets! We aren't picky about brands or what they look like. The same goes for clothing and bibs. We didn't register for specific clothing items because we aren't picky and I doubt the baby has much of a preference. We live in Virginia and she's due in November/December. So we'll need warm clothes (pants, long sleeves, jackets) for when she is about 0-6 months and summer type clothes for when she's about 6-9 months old.
Lastly, a few of you may have noticed that I am registered for quite a large number of breastmilk storage bags and I would like to explain the reason for this as well. I will be donating milk through an organization called Milk Share and will need lots of bags to store the milk in. If you are interested in learning more about my decision, I wrote up a more detailed entry at AKA, Mommy. I am very excited to be able to give another baby the gift of nature's milk. I've been blessed with enough to go around and feel in my heart that it's the right thing to do.
