394 Days/33w6d

We've been promising Arianna a trip to a pumpkin patch for about a month now. She remembers going to Mike's Farm last year and has been looking forward to doing something similar this year. I looked into a few farms and pumpkin patches out here and they're so expensive! Admission to Mike's Farm was free and you only had to pay for the hayride and any pumpkins that you took home. Out here it's about $45 just to get in and that's not including activities, food and drink, pumpkins, etc. We weren't sure that we wanted to spend that much money just to get pumpkins, but we didn't just want a boring trip to the grocery store either.

So we found something in the middle and it was perfect! There is a shopping center around the corner from our old townhouse and people rent out the corner lot to sell fireworks around the 4th of July, seasonal fruits and vegetables year round, and pumpkins during Halloween (I'm willing to bet it will become a Christmas tree lot after Thanksgiving)! Whoever has the lot rented out for the pumpkins also has a bounce house and some portable climbing equipment set up for kids.

Forget the pumpkins, this is all Arianna really cared about.

Cabbage and kale.

Beautiful flowers! I love fall!

TONS of pumpkins!

Gords

We finally got her out of the bounce house long enough to help Jon pick a pumpkin. Jon wanted one with a flat side (easier to carve) and Arianna wanted one that "wasn't dirty."

Found one!

13 days until Halloween!
